Crown & Sceptre It was decided that the July monthly meeting should take the form of a social, thus removing the need for Officers' reports and other regular items.
The chosen venue was the recently re-opened Crown & Sceptre, St. Marychurch (photo right), a chance for members to pass comment on the recent refurbishment.
Around 15 members turned out, on what was one of the hottest days of the year, to enjoy the choice of Otter Ale, Jail Ale, Exmoor Gold or Doom Bar. The Exmoor was both popular and in fine form.
The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the raffle with all members and a few locals chancing a pound or two to win a four bottle pack containing three Salcombe beers and one from Dynamite Valley, based in Ponsanooth near Falmouth. The winner was Ian our Vice Chairman.

There is traditionally not a meeting in August, so the next monthly meeting will be on 13th September, the venue is yet to be determined, so watch the Diary page for details. The raffle may well be replicated at further monthly meetings....
