Members gathered in the Exchange from all directions and by their chosen means of transport. The choices for us were: Proper Job, Tribute and Adnams Ghost Ship.
The Old Smithy was closed due to refurbishment, so we decided on the Trehill Arms as our next port of call. We had three choices here: Jail Ale, Directors and Abbot.
Our next pub involved the longest walk of the day, back down the main street to The Duke of Cornwall where those requiring lunch chose to eat whilst the res of us enjoyed the beers: Doom Bar and Purity Mad Goose. Both were delivered straight from the cask in the cellar, fortunately the Mad Goose was in fine form and enjoyed by all.
We stayed a little longer in the Duke before going across the road to the Imperial, a GBG pub. Where Nuttycombe Red Kite was the the choice of the majority.
Conveniently there was a bus stop almost outside the Imperial so we took the opportunity to catch the Gold bus to Bittaford and the Horse & Groom. Here the choice was just Legend or Jail Ale. This was our last pub and everyone caught another Gold to start their journey homeward.
