Ashburton & Buckfastleigh Social

We all met up in the Bay Horse at Ashburton, at midday, everyone using one of the two ways to get there, the 88 bus from Newton Abbot or the 88 bus from Totnes. There were two beers available here, Dartmoor IPA and Jail Ale. We moved on to the Silent Whistle, just next to where Ashburton Station used to be. Jail Ale and Proper Job here. Back down the road was Totnes Club@No2, opened specially for us and the the Royal Oak, probably the best of the day with a choice of Salopian Darwin Original and two from Bridgetown, Brutus Mild and Albert Ale.
Time now for a quick photo of most of the gang outside the pub then onto the bus stop and the 88 to Buckfastleigh and the Abbey Inn, a St Austell pub and a pleasant spot next to the Dart.
We now had to walk into the centre of Buckfastleigh and the Globe, Jail Ale only, The White Hart and The King's Arms. It was from the pubs of Buckfastleigh that we started our various journeys homeward, again courtesy of the 88 bus. A pleasant day, perhaps with too much Jail Ale, but, I suppose, the brewery is not far away.
